フォトグラファー・イメージメーカー亀井隆司による初の作品集。
亀井は1997年に渡英し、London College of Fashion（Fashion Styling and Photography）、およびLondon College of Communication（Creative Media Program）を修了した。ロンドン滞在中、『i-D』『Dazed & Confused』などの国際的ファッション・カルチャー誌を中心に活動した。

ロンドンおよびニューヨークでの活動を経て、現在は東京を拠点に、ファッション、広告、エディトリアルを横断した幅広い分野で表現を展開している。『VOGUE JAPAN』『Numero Tokyo』『Harper’s Bazaar Japan』『GQ』『Rolling Stone』など、国内外の媒体に作品を発表し、Cartier、BOSS、SONY、SEIKO、SHISEIDO、ISETAN、LUMINEをはじめとする多数の企業の広告、キャンペーンフォトを手がけてきた。その他にも、音楽・映画・ファッション・スポーツなど多様な分野において、国内外のアーティスト、俳優、ミュージシャン、アスリートの撮影を数多く担当している。

亀井は、複数の光源を組み合わせる独特のライティング手法を用いて、静止画と映像を自在に行き来しながら被写体の存在感や時代性を鋭く捉え、現代におけるイメージのあり方を提示する。

Photographer and image-maker Takashi Kamei's first monograph.
Kamei moved to the United Kingdom in 1997, where he studied Fashion Styling and Photography at the London College of Fashion, and completed the Creative Media Program at the London College of Communication. During his time in London, he contributed to leading international fashion and culture publications including i-D and Dazed & Confused.

Following his work in London and New York, Kamei is now based in Tokyo, where his practice spans fashion, advertising, and editorial. His work has appeared in publications including VOGUE JAPAN, Numero Tokyo, Harper's Bazaar Japan, GQ, and Rolling Stone, and he has shot campaigns for brands such as Cartier, BOSS, SONY, SEIKO, SHISEIDO, ISETAN, and LUMINE. He has also photographed a wide range of artists, actors, musicians, and athletes across music, film, fashion, and sport.

Through a distinctive lighting approach that combines multiple light sources, Kamei moves fluidly between still and moving image, capturing both the presence of his subjects and the sensibility of the moment — proposing new ways of seeing in contemporary visual culture.
