2025年に「TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD」川島崇志個人賞を受賞するなど、注目を集める写真家・小林ななせによる初の作品集。本書は、一人の女性を被写体としたシリーズで構成されている。

小林はかねてより、今生きている「私」という感覚への疑問、この世が何なのか分からなくなるような不安を抱えてきたという。そんな中、ある一人の女性のセルフポートレートに言葉にできない可能性を感じ、その直感だけを手掛かりに彼女の写真を撮り始めた。
まばゆい光とビビッドな色彩、それらを包む黒によって現実から切り離されたイメージは、この世界とは別の層へと通じる回路を持っている。

タイトル『Locus meus』はラテン語で「私の場所」を意味する。



小林ななせ

1996年栃木県生まれ。桑沢デザイン研究所総合デザイン科卒業。他者を通して現実の人物像と想像から生まれるイメージを重ね合わせ、変幻自在に変容する像を生み出す。現実とイメージの境界を曖昧にしながら、自己と他者、生と死、冷たさと熱といった相反するものが交錯するビビッドな世界を立ち上げる。
2025年に「TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD」で川島崇志個人賞を受賞し、「富士フイルムフォトサロン 若手写真家応援プロジェクト ポートフォリオレビュー／アワード 2025」ではファイナリストに選出された。

The first photobook by Nanase Kobayashi, a photographer drawing widespread attention — including the Takashi Kawashima Award at the TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD 2025. The book is built around a series of images of a single woman.

Kobayashi has long carried a doubt about the sensation of "me" that is here, alive, along with an anxiety about losing any sense of what this world even is. It was against that backdrop that she encountered one woman's self-portraits, felt in them a possibility she could not put into words, and began photographing her guided by nothing but that instinct.
The images — blazing light, vivid color, all of it wrapped in black — are severed from reality, and open onto something that feels like a different layer of the world entirely.

The title Locus meus is Latin for "my place."



Nanase Kobayashi

Born in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, in 1996, Nanase Kobayashi graduated from the Department of Integrated Design at Kuwasawa Design School. Through others, she layers real human figures with images shaped by imagination, creating mutable forms that shift and transform freely. Blurring the boundary between reality and image, she constructs a vivid world in which opposites intersect: self and other, life and death, coldness and heat.
In 2025, she received the Takashi Kawashima Award at TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD and was selected as a finalist for the FUJIFILM Photo Salon Emerging Photographers Project Portfolio Review & Awards 2025.
