G/P＋abpは、2008年から10年以上にわたり、若手写真アーティストの発掘、サポート、プロデュースに力をいれてきましたが、2020年からFUJI XEROXのサポートのもと、NEOTOKYOZINEという、プロジェクトを開始いたしました。G/P＋abpは、従来のスタイルの写真集を作ってきましたが、FUJI XEROXの最高質出力機Iridesseを使い、アーティストが活用できるコラボを行うことができる体制をつくり、必要に応じた部数を継続的に制作できる仕組みづくりに試みます。
その第一弾として、港千尋のPHOTOZINE「香港2049」、岡田佑里奈の「BLINDSPOT」、小林健太「DAYDREAM」をローンチいたします。従来の「写真集」「作品集」ではできない仕上げを可能とする技術によって、それぞれのアーティストの独自の「やりたいこと」が反映された３冊。折しも、FUJI XEROXも2021年3月からは新しい体制に突入することになり、このプロジェクトも、重要な挑戦として進めてまいります。
今後のアーティストとしては、鈴木親、五木田智央、檜皮一彦、G/Pアーカイバル、若手写真アーティスト、ビッグネームなど予定しており、これらすべてのNEOTOKYOZINEを一堂に集めたフェアも開催計画中。
We are happy to announce that a new project is going to start in 2020. G/P + abp has been focusing on discovering, supporting, and producing young photo artists for over ten years since 2018, will start the new project called 'NEOTOKYOZINE' from 2020 with the support of FUJI XEROX.G/P+abp had created photo books in the traditional style, but in 2020, we decided to try to establish a system that allows artists to use FUJI XEROX's highest quality printers to collaborate and continuously produce a required number of copies.
As the first step, we will launch the three new ZINEs;Chihiro Minato PHOTOZINE "Hong Kong 2049"; Yurina Okada "BLINDSPOT "; Kenta Cobayashi "DAYDREAM ".
As this time is also a significant milestone for FUJI XEROX that will make a transition to a new system from March 2021, this project will be an important challenge for us.
Future artists and projects include Suzuki Chikashi, Tomoo Gokita, Kazuhiko Hiwa, many young photo artists, and G/P gallery archives. We are also planning to hold a fair gathers all these NEOTOKYOZINE books together.
